On February 21, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Hiring Our Heroes, Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training (DOL VETS), the Virginia Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), and local chambers will be conducting a Hero 2 Hired (H2H) hiring fair for active duty military members, Guard and Reserve members and eligible spouses at the Richmond Raceway Complex, 600 E Laburnum Ave, Richmond, Virginia. This hiring event, made possible in part thanks to our lead sponsor Capital One, will be a one-of-a-kind FREE hiring fair.

This event will be open only to employers who are committed to hiring our veterans and to veteran job seekers, active duty military members, Guard and Reserve members, and eligible spouses.

On Monday, February 20 at 1:15PM in room 146 we will have our monthly meeting.  Several important items are up for discussion including chapter officers, event planning and "how to make and spend money".  Thanks to all those folks who ate our Valentine's Day sweet stuff!!! National SVA information about internships and scholarships will also be topics of conversation.

Overdue library books

FYI!  If you receive a BRIGHT YELLOW postcard in the mail from the Library reminding you of an overdue book, it’s VERY important that you return that book to the Library right away.

 

Soon after the postcards are mailed....if the overdue book is not returned promptly, the ECPI University Accounting Department will charge you the full replacement value of the book PLUS a non-refundable $10 processing fee PLUS overdue fines.

Remember….To avoid the fine, return library books on time!  If you have questions regarding book checkouts, or if you need us to renew a book for you, please contact a library staff member....We're here to help!  Thanks!

Now, as most of you know, I would prefer to see New England Patriots jerseys all over campus, but I am a realist and I know that at least ONE of you may be hoping that the Giants will win.    To be fair to all, however, you can wear the jersey of your favorite football team (even though they did not make it to the Super Bowl this year.  You can also wear jerseys for NON-FOOTBALL sports if you wish.
